Welcome to RugMark UK

design-a-rug competition

RugMark UK is a non profit organisation working in South Asia to ensure that the rug industry is free of child labour. Together with Interiors Monthly Magazine, RugMark is running a design-a-rug competition to raise awareness about responsible production methods.

The winning rug will be manufactured in Nepal, and the winner will receive a 1 week trip to Kathmandu to see their rug being hand loomed.

All winning and commended designs will be exhibited at the 100% Design show in London 18-21 September 2008.

The competition is open to students aged 16 and over, and the deadline for entries is 17.00 on Wednesday 11th June 2008.
